Lionel 6-19229 Frisco Boxcar with Diesel RailSounds
RailSounds is a system from Lionel for reproducing digitally recorded sounds from real-life locomotives in your Lionel train. he diesel horn, bell and engine sounds are incorporated into electronics memory and are accessible at your command.
At rest, the diesel unit will produce the distinctive throb of a diesel engine at idle. A switch on the bottom of the boxcar can be used to turn the diesel engine sounds on or off. The horn and bell sounds can be activated regardless of the position of the switch. There is also a volume control knob on the bottom of the boxcar.
Once the boxcar is in motion, RailSounds causes the engine sounds to change. The movement of the car causes the diesel engine sounds to increase RPM's and go into a lightly loaded running mode. As speed increases, the sounds shift into high gear, reflecting the sound of a powerful diesel cruising down the rails. These changes are reversed as the train slows and stops.
A Sound Activation Button switch is included, this is needed to activate the bell sounds. You will not need this if your transformer already has a bell button built in.
