Although built in the early twentieth century, 0-8-0 steam locomotives performed switching duties well into the 1950s. The scale-sized Lionel 0-8-0 steam locomotives are fully featured, including a special DynaChuff synchronized chuffing sound which accurately reflects a hard-working steam switcher at four chuffs per revolution. For more realism and optimum performance, TMCC-equipped Lionel 0-8-0s also include a Wireless Tether connection between the locomotive and tender. The 0-8-0s are available in Great Northern, Norfolk & Western and Nickel Plate Road liveries.
