What are tent sales?
We search our warehouse every month to locate items that we can offer to our customers at deep discounts, then set up about a dozen tents outside our store for customers to browse.
What can I expect?
Held the last Saturday of the month (May-Oct., 9am-3pm) at our Greensburg PA store, these Train Sales Under the Tent offer savvy shoppers tables upon tables of discounted model trains!
This is your new destination for model train bargains. You'll come across a wide variety of new and used items from multiple eras, scales, and manufacturers. We have a little bit of everything! Pick up some buildings or accessories, or find some new freight cars for your collection!
How are tent sales different from train shows?
Brady's Train Outlet sets up at a variety of train shows throughout the year. We encourage our customers to attend train shows as these are a great way to find bargains and unique items, as well as learn more about the hobby.
Our tent sales are a smaller scale than many train shows, and our store is the main vendor. However, as the event is held at our store and we aren't incurring the additional expenses associated with a train show, we are able to offer you rock bottom prices and special savings! Get ready to bundle and save!
We are also able to provide a broader array of used items, which some train shows have restrictions around. Tent sales are the best way to save money while adding to your layout. Many customers purchase freight cars for sidings, cars or buildings to weather, building kits for kitbashing, and engines to fix at our tent sales. However, you will also come across a lot of newer items (much of it being new old stock) that we found at our warehouse and haven't listed online yet! You never know what you might find!
When and where are the tent sales?
Join us the last Saturday of the month May through October from 9am - 3pm at Brady’s Train Outlet, 1046 South Main Street, Greensburg, Pennsylvania. Our store is conveniently located at the intersection of Routes 119 and 30, minutes from major highways including I-70 and the PA Turnpike (I-76).

Don't worry, there is plenty of parking available on the streets near our store! Some customers park at Parkwood Inn across the street, attend our tent sale, and then stop for lunch there! We always encourage our customers to shop local and support other small businesses!
Is the store open during the tent sale?
Our store will be open from 9am-4:30pm on tent sale days. Please note, this is a departure from our normal business hours on Saturdays (10am-6pm).
What if it rains?
No need to worry about the weather! Train Sale Under the Tents will go on rain or shine– that’s why we have tents! So mark your calendars and get ready for an exciting day!
I'm coming in from out of town for the tent sale! Can I place an order and pick it up in store?
If you are interested in purchasing an item that is sold online (www.bradystrains.com) and picking it up the day of the tent sale, you must place an order at least 1 full business day before you visit the store. We are not able to drive to our warehouse to fulfill same-day orders as our employees will be busy helping out at the store on the day of the tent sale. If you just want to see an item, please call the store and we can hold it for you at the counter to review.
I can't make it to the sale. Can I still take advantage of the bargain prices?
Absolutely! We will post a lot of videos and images on social media showcasing the bargains. You are able to purchase the item(s) at the offered price for one week (7 days) after the sale, even if you are out of state. If you see something you like, please call 724-838-8448 and we will reserve it for you, if it is still available. We will need your address and email address to estimate the cost for shipping and send you an invoice. Don't wait! The items at the sale are priced to move-- if you wait, you might miss out on the opportunity!
