For railroad operators, these cars are also cost-effective, utilizing existing frames and trucks from freight cars. This model represents cars found on the historic Cass Scenic Railroad. Operating over a former logging railroad, the Cass Scenic Railroad uses original mountain-climbing steam locomotives such as Shays, Climaxes, and Heislers to transport passengers from the former company town of Cass, West Virginia, to the peak of Bald Knob, almost 5000ft above sea level.
