From the hustle and bustle of the business district to the constant traffic through the industrial area, these Cornerstone Series(R) buildings put life in any layout. They're perfect for use with O or O-27 gauge trains and fit easily in steam- or diesel-era settings. Designed for easy construction, the plastic kits feature snap-together walls so they can be taken apart and stored in their sturdy boxes between operating sessions. (Some gluing may be required for smaller details such as windows.) All parts are molded in color so no painting is needed. Each kit is complete with colorful decal signs, interior lighting and assembly instructions. One of the most important buildings alongside any railroad, interlocking towers controlled signals and switches at sidings, junctions, drawbridges, yards and station terminals. In use from the early 1900s until computers took over in the 1980s, a few are still standing. A great starting point for a trackside scene, this model is complete with an exterior stairway, as well as simulated rods for the control system. It has the look and feel of similar structures used along railroads large and small. Several can be used along your line to capture the family look so common to railroad architecture.
