DESCRIPTION
Dickens often made reference to the sounds of London where horse drawn beer wagons rolling over cobblestone streets added to the cacophony of noise. At that time, typical beer wagons consisted of two horses pulling a dray, with a drayman to drive and a trouncer to help load and unload the kegs.
