Manufacturer Information:

The Metal Sunoco Single Dome No. 2555 is a premium car that was available from 1946 until 1948. It consisted of a die-cast frame that is usually without steps, sheet-metal tank, and the lettering is by decals, on the left "SUNOCO" diamond, and on the right side "S.U.N.X. 2555." Cars whose decals have not discolored with age are highly valued today. This car came with a brake stand, ladders, and placards that are located only on the sides. Equipped with staple-end trucks that have electronic coil couplers. There are four variations:

Variation A: Sunoco decal with "GAS" and "OILS" inside of the YELLOW diamond logo, and "S.U.N.X. 2555" decal.
spacer
Variation B: Sunoco decal without "GAS" and "OILS" inside of the YELLOW diamond logo, and "S.U.N.X. 2555" decal.
spacer
Variation C: Sunoco decal with "GAS" and "OILS" inside of the YELLOW diamond logo, circled "L" decal, and "2555" rubber-stamped on the frame.
