The epitome of efficiency in freight car design, logging disconnects minimized the weight of the cars by relying on the strength of the loads themselves. The simple trucks could be adjusted to logs of any length, loaded and unloaded quickly and offered the flexibility needed for the logging railroads tight curves and rough track.
Made from all new tooling, each disconnect set includes a pair of die-cast disconnect trucks, realistic molded log load and metal tie down chains. Like most of the prototypes, the cars are available in simple deco schemes and un-numbered so you can build a long train without any duplication. The coupler pockets of these cars have been designed to accommodate a scale coupler box for easy conversion!
