In a fleet of 425 K4s, a few stood out from the rest. Always striving to improve on perfection, the engineers in Altoona made modifications to several K4s over the years. Both mechanically and aesthetically, these experimental locomotives met with mixed reviews. But the excitement is in the variations and the details and so weve selected three of the more unique examples as candidates for our latest brass-hybrid models. Each is presented in at least one prototypical, one fantasy, and one unpainted "pilot" variation for you to enjoy.
