Lionel 9218 Monon Operating Boxcar from 1981.
This car is a remake of the postwar Lionel 3494-550 of 1957. To operate this car, you park it over a standard uncoupler which draws down the operating plunger to open the door and triggers the figure to throw out the mailbag! The boxcar features sliding doors, die-cast metal sprung trucks, die-cast metal operating knuckle couplers, metal wheels and axles.
