The basics: This is an impressive factory for your industrial park. The Gamer & Thrones building measures approximately 18 inches wide by 10 inches deep and 11 inches tall.

The building is a mixed stone and corrugated steel construction with a loading dock at the front, and a rear area for either rail deliveries or, by removing the insert, running trains through the back.

The lighting package includes an illuminated loading dock and business sign; and a rotating toilet bowl with spotlights for accenting.

For illumination the factory requires a Menards 4.5 volt power supply, Menards SKU# 279-4061, 279-4062, or 279-4050. You may wish to consider the 8- or 9-piece Plug & Play accessory kits (SKU# 279-4035, 4681) and to serve multiple structures and vehicles. All are available separately.

Why you need this: The Gamer & Thrones Co. is another first for O gauge. It is a manufacturer of a product that every home, business, and hotel room in America has. There is also some clever wordplay at work in the name, but you’ve already figured out that!

Front and center is the backlit business name: "Gamer & Thrones Manufacturers and Purveyors of Fine Vitreous China Stools and Lavs, Est. 1898."

The building has a cut-stone appearance rather than standard brick or corrugated steel. This gives the main building the appearance of something erected in the 1900s or earlier. The corrugated add-ons indicate the firm’s success, causing later renovation to the structure.

The first floor windows are five panes with frames with an arched top, giving a vintage look. There are two on the left end, two on the left front, and one on the right front, next to the office door. The entrance door has four panes.

The second level is impressive with 18 four-pane windows and four more windows mounted in dormers. There are three security lights on the front, just under the roofline.

The loading dock has two double-doors, roughly 2 ½ inches apart. Each door set has 12 windows. There is exterior lighting for those guys working the second shift!

The dock also has three workers (one with a hand truck with load), a pallet with a toilet and a wash basin, and Jack is, of course, in the middle of all the action.

But the star of the show is on the roof of the first floor: A rotating toilet. The stool is hit with lighting from beneath the corrugated roof. This ensures it may be seen in all of its glory, 24/7!

This would be a great freight operation for a railroad. You might have inbound hoppers arriving with material for the ceramic basins and outbound boxcars for completed loads. Not to mention the fun you’ll have when layout visitors see which industry the business serves.

The right, rear side has vintage advertising for Gamer faucets while the back of the run through has a large ad for Gamer & Thrones buggy whips. Obviously the firm diversified just in time. But here is a tip: Don’t discard the packaging right away. It contains the history of Misters Gamer and Thrones and how they became flushed with success!

Gamer & Thrones is a useful and good-looking building. It also reminds us that model railroading should be fun!
