It showcases an authentic paint scheme and comes with a real tender coal load. The model includes die-cast locomotive trucks, handpainted engineer and fireman figures, and metal handrails, whistle, and bell. It is equipped with metal wheels and axles, a remote-controlled Proto-Coupler, and prototypical Rule 17 lighting. Additional features include a constant voltage LED headlight, operating LED firebox glow, lighted LED cab interior, and an operating tender LED back-up light. The locomotive is powered by (2) powerful precision flywheel-equipped motors and features a synchronized puffing ProtoSmoke system, locomotive speed control in scale MPH increments, and a wireless drawbar.
