If you grew up in Pennsylvania and love trains, you're bound to be familiar with the Horseshoe Curve in Altoona! 

The curve was built by Pennsylvania Railroad in 1854  to allow for safer and quicker passage through the Allegheny Mountains. It is considered to be an engineering marvel, due to the length, degree of curvature, and grade. 

Our second to last tent sale of the year will be this Saturday, Sept. 24th at our store. Come for some great bargains on a variety of new and used model trains, from multiple eras and scales!

You might not think of trains and cats going together, unless you're familiar with Chessie (the mascot of C&O railroad)! Chessie is a cuddly sleeping kitten which appeared on the marketing materials of C&O in the 1930s as a way to publicize air conditioned sleeper cars. 

We had our first tent sale of the year on Sat. May 28th.

We set up 12 big tents and put out a variety of new and used items from multiple scales and manufacturers-- we had been saving up bargains all year in anticipation!
