 THIS IS A CUSTOM RUN VISIONLINE BIG BOY WITH DISAPPEARING COAL LOAD.   

Why our Custom Run is Right for You:

Our #4013 was designed with many extra special features, in addition to the standard Vision Line specs (including the depleting coal load)!
Our engine is comparable in price to the regular Big Boys offered by Lionel for the 2023 catalog. We have added removable smoke shields that have the American Flag and "Building America" written on them "Big Boy" is written on the front. This is the only Big Boy with these symbols.
Our engine looks stunning with a silver stripe on the side all the way to where the engineer sits. The tender has stripes on top and bottom, and it says Union Pacific with the UP symbol. The bearings on the tender and steam chests are outlined in silver. 
The best feature is the 4013 cab plate on the floor where the engineer sits-- this is unique among Big Boys this run. We're the only one that has it!

The #4013 was a real engine made for the Union Pacific Railroad in 1941 by ALCO. The Union Pacific Railroad was looking for an engine powerful enough to handle steep mountain grades at higher speeds, while pulling freight. The #4013 made its last run on July 21, 1959, after which it was retired and sold for scrap due to the replacement of steam locomotives with diesel models. The #4013 was one of 25 Big Boys that were scrapped.

      This is a  custom run Auxiliary Water Tender designed by our employee, Ben Zemba.  It is available for preorder and should arrive 2nd quarter of 2024.  For our Water Tender we choose to honor Otto Jabelmann.  Otto worked extensively on a steam turbine locomotive design and led the team that designed both the later Challenger (4-6-6-4 wheel arrangement) and Big Boy locomotives.  This sharp looking auxiliary water tender will be a great compliment to our custom Big Boy locomotive and caboose.  Order yours today. 

      These auxiliary water tenders are the perfect add on for your to our custom 4013! Each of the tenders is available in either a full LEGACY or as a non-powered unit so you can mix/match. LEGACY versions include a rear ElectroCoupler, back up light, and RailSounds which include FreightSounds in motion and special service dialog. All cars feature die-cast bodies and trucks.

          About Sherman Hill: "At a summit of 8,014 feet, Union Pacific's original line over Sherman Hill was for years the highest point on the railroad.
